CrossMark Policy
The Journal of Sport Biomechanics participates in the CrossMark service provided by Crossref to ensure that readers have access to the most current, reliable, and authoritative version of every published article. CrossMark is a multi-publisher initiative developed by Crossref that enables readers to verify the publication status of scholarly documents. By clicking the CrossMark logo displayed on each published article, readers can determine whether the document is current or whether any official post-publication updates have been issued. All articles published in the Journal of Sport Biomechanics are registered with CrossMark through Crossref. The CrossMark record provides access to the current publication status of the article together with essential publication metadata, including the Digital Object Identifier (DOI), publication dates, and other registered publication information.
The journal is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of the scholarly record. Whenever post-publication changes become necessary, the journal updates the CrossMark record to ensure that readers always have access to the latest and most reliable version of the published work.
Post-Publication Updates
When appropriate, the Journal of Sport Biomechanics may publish one or more of the following post-publication notices:
• Correction (Erratum or Corrigendum)
• Expression of Concern
• Retraction
Whenever such notices are issued, they are formally linked to the original article through the CrossMark system so that readers can easily identify the current publication status of the article.
Editorial Responsibility
Decisions regarding corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions are made by the Editor-in-Chief in accordance with the journal's editorial policies and publication ethics. These decisions are based on the available evidence and are made to preserve the integrity, transparency, and reliability of the scholarly record.
Detailed information regarding the journal's policies on publication ethics, corrections, and retractions is available in the Publication Ethics section of the journal website.
