هدف عضلات گردنی نقش مهمی در کنترل پاسچر، حس عمقی و تنظیم عصبی–عضلانی ایفا می‌کنند. ضعف یا اختلال در فعال‌سازی عضلات گردن و کتف با پاسچر سر به جلو (FHP)، درد گردن و تغییر در راستای بدنی همراه است. اگرچه تمرینات تقویتی و اصلاحی برای بهبود عملکرد گردن پیشنهاد شده‌اند، اثربخشی مقایسه‌ای آن‌ها همچنان به‌طور کامل مشخص نیست.
روش‌ها یک مرور نظام‌مند مطابق با دستورالعمل PRISMA 2020 انجام شد. کارآزمایی‌های بالینی تصادفی‌شده (RCT) منتشرشده از ژانویه ۲۰۱۵ تا جولای ۲۰۲۵، از طریق جستجو در پایگاه‌های PubMed، Cochrane، PEDro، EBSCOhost  و ScienceDirect با استفاده از واژه‌های «عضله گردن»، «خستگی» و «کنترل پاسچر» و ترکیب‌های مرتبط آن‌ها شناسایی شدند. مطالعاتی وارد مرور شدند که شامل افراد دارای اختلال عملکرد گردن یا مشکلات پاسچر بوده و مداخلات تقویتی مبتنی بر تمرین یا تمرینات اصلاحی را ارزیابی کرده بودند. کیفیت روش‌شناختی مطالعات با استفاده از مقیاس PEDro ارزیابی شد.
یافته‌ها از ۴۱ مقاله شناسایی‌شده، ۷ کارآزمایی بالینی تصادفی‌شده بررسی شدند که ۵ مطالعه با کیفیت روش‌شناختی مناسب (PEDro ≥ 5) در سنتز نهایی وارد شدند. مداخلات شامل تمرینات اصلاح پاسچر، تثبیت کتف، کینزیوتیپینگ، پیلاتس بالینی، تقویت عضله ذوزنقه‌ای تحتانی و موبیلیزاسیون بافت نرم بودند. این مداخلات به‌طور کلی موجب بهبود راستای پاسچر، زاویه جمجمه‌ای–مهره‌ای، فعالیت عضلانی، درد و عملکرد شدند و برنامه‌های چندوجهی تحت نظارت اثربخشی بیشتری داشتند. مهم‌ترین محدودیت‌های مطالعات، نبود کورسازی و تخصیص پنهان بود.
نتیجه‌گیری مداخلات تقویت عضلات گردن در مطالعات بررسی‌شده با بهبود کنترل پاسچر و عملکرد حرکتی همراه بودند. شواهد موجود نشان می‌دهد که رویکردهای چندوجهی، ساختاریافته و تحت نظارت ممکن است در مقایسه با برنامه‌های تک‌بعدی یا بدون نظارت، مزایای بیشتری داشته باشند. استفاده از پروتکل‌های استاندارد و پیگیری‌های طولانی‌مدت برای شناسایی راهبردهای بهینه توانبخشی و ارزیابی پایداری اثرات ضروری است.
