هدف تکواندو یک رشته ورزشی مبارزه‌ای المپیکی است که با توجه به مهارت‌های مورد نیاز در این رشته، پرش و تغییر جهت مهم است. تمرین‌های ثبات مرکزی می‌تواند استراتژی مناسبی برای ارتقا عملکرد تکواندوکاران باشد. لذا هدف از پژوهش حاضر تأثیر شش هفته تمرینات ثبات مرکزی بر بهبود تعادل و عملکرد تکواندوکاران پسر است.
روش‌ها تحقیق حاضر از نوع نیمه تجربی بوده و به‌صورت میدانی انجام شده است. جامعه آماری شامل 30 تکواندوکار پسر 10-15 ساله شهرستان مشهد بودند که به‌صورت هدفمند انتخاب و به‌صورت تصادفی به دو گروه 15 نفره تقسیم شدند. به ترتیب آزمون جهش تک پا و آزمون جهش سه‌گانه تک پا برای عملکرد و از آزمون تعادلی Y برای ارزیابی تعادل آزمودنی‌ها استفاده شد. پس از گروه‌بندی، پیش‌آزمون جهت اندازه‌گیری متغیرهای مورد نظر تحقیق اجرا شد. سپس برنامه تمرینات ثبات مرکزی به مدت شش هفته بر روی آزمودنی‌های گروه تجربی اعمال و سپس پس‌آزمون، با رویه یکسان با پیش‌آزمون اجرا شد.
یافته‌ها یافته‌ها نشان داد که انجام شش هفته برنامه‌ تمرینی ارائه شده احتمالاً موجب بهبود تعادل پویا در جهت خلفی داخلی (0/021=P) و عملکرد افراد (0/002=P) شرکت‌کننده در این تحقیق در گروه تمرین ثبات مرکزی نسبت به گروه کنترل می‌شود.
نتیجه‌گیری نتایج پژوهش حاضر نشان تمرینات ثبات مرکزی باعث بهبود تعادل و عملکرد تکواندوکاران پسر شده است و عملکرد افراد افزایش داده است.
