The present research goal is to compare the myoelectric activity of some chosen upper extremity muscles while doing bench press in two training methods of TRX and barbell bench press. To assess the differences among the three tested types on a sample group the variance analysis with duplicate data method was used.
Considering these results it can be said that TRX bench press resistance training can be an alternative and effective practice for barbell bench press because given the results it can be appreciated that TRX bench press, dips low in the trunk, has led to muscle activity close to the level of muscle activity during the barbell bench press drill. In TRX trainings in addition to economic savings and no need to large spacious location, stabilizer muscles of the shoulder girdle, trunk and pelvic girdle are also activated.
